Leadership
Sean Campbell
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Our visionary founder, hailing from the vibrant landscapes of South Africa, embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that would leave an indelible mark on the publishing industry. Armed with a passion for home improvement and a keen eye for business opportunities, our founder took a bold leap and established what would later become the cornerstone of our success – TheHomeMag.
Originating in Southwest Florida, this venture began as a singular magazine dedicated to home improvement, initially named TheHomeImprover. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of South Africa, our founder infused creativity and innovation into the publication, transforming it into a beacon for homeowners seeking inspiration and guidance. The transition from TheHomeImprover to TheHomeMag marked not only a rebranding but also a commitment to providing comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing content.
From its humble beginnings, the magazine has blossomed into a multifaceted platform, offering a plethora of home-related resources and ideas. Our founder’s journey from South Africa to the inception of TheHomeMag exemplifies the power of vision and determination, shaping a narrative that resonates with homeowners and enthusiasts alike in Southwest Florida and beyond.
Debbie Campbell
Founder
Our co-founder hailing from South Africa, played a pivotal role alongside Sean in establishing the foundation of our venture. In the nascent stages of our journey in 2002, she embodied resilience and determination, functioning as the boots on the ground for our fledgling enterprise. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Debbie took on the crucial responsibility of selling advertising spaces for what would become the inaugural magazine.
Her hands-on approach and tenacity were instrumental in laying the groundwork for the company’s growth. Debbie’s commitment to the vision of creating a valuable platform for businesses and homeowners alike was evident as she navigated the challenges of the advertising landscape with zeal.
Beyond her role as a co-founder, Debbie’s South African roots infused a global perspective into the fabric of our organization, contributing to a diverse and inclusive ethos. Her journey from South Africa to the forefront of our magazine’s inception showcases not only a geographical transition but also a testament to her passion and dedication to building a platform that resonates with the community. Debbie’s early efforts continue to be foundational in shaping the success story of our venture.
