Various Kitchen Appliances

At its heart, every home has a kitchen. Some of them aren't as modern as others, but that's all right. Updating one isn't too hard if you've seen a solid blueprint. So, here are a few ideas to bring your kitchen up to date, complete with functional style.

Revamp the countertops with some granite

First, the countertops should be a top priority if you're doing anything to the kitchen. Since they're such a prominent piece in there, they're an obvious starting point. Granite has always been popular thanks to its divine aesthetics.

Granite Transformations is an ideal contractor if you're considering a granite update in your kitchen. If you have some time, check out their online portfolio, showcasing past work. It's much easier to decide what's a match after seeing some of their stuff.

Flank the stove with all new cabinetry

Once the counters have a new face, it's time to bring our eyes up a bit. Wooden cabinetry looks stunning set above a granite expanse, contrasting quite nicely. If the cabinets at home aren't too new, consider getting replacements.

Countertop Rock LLC has done tons of cabinet work. You can ask them to put up something in a stoic gray, or you could have them repaint what's there already. Either way, they've uploaded some great examples of what to expect from them.

Update the major appliances

So far, you've mostly invested in cosmetic upgrades, unless your home lacked cabinets. But there's somewhere obvious many homeowners overlook when updating kitchens. Although pricey, the appliances are such great investments since you'll use them almost every day.

Purchasing a new fridge for your kitchen would make it easier to store all your groceries thanks to the additional space many fridges have these days. Don't forget about the range, either. A new one wouldn't use as much energy whenever you're cooking, helping to lower utility bills. That's why they're an investment worth making if your bills have been sky high.

Invest in small appliances

Large appliances aren't the only thing you should have in a fully functional kitchen. What if you were trying to make a smoothie to complement your omelet? Without a professional blender, such a healthy side isn't possible. So, see if you can find one that matches everything else in the kitchen.

Another great idea would be to add an air fryer. Using one is just like an oven but way faster. You can also make stuff without waiting long to preheat, making them crazy convenient. If you've always felt lost for time, an air fryer can free some up.
